Channel Ecosystem & Roles

What Is a System Integrator (SI)?

A system integrator, or SI, designs and builds complete solutions by combining hardware, software and services from multiple vendors into a single working system for the customer. SIs lead complex projects - data centers, networks, applications - where the value is in making many components work together, not in any single product.

Why it matters to IT channel partners. Because an SI assembles solutions from many vendors, it accumulates rebate eligibility across all of them, often on large project-based deals. The challenge is that rebates are scattered across every vendor in the solution stack. Partner-side rebate management gives an SI one view of what every project is earning across all those programs.

It combines products and services from multiple vendors into one working solution - taking responsibility for the whole system rather than a single component.
