What Is a Solution Provider?
A solution provider sells complete solutions to a business problem rather than individual products - combining hardware, software, cloud and services from multiple vendors into an outcome the customer buys. The term is a broad, modern label covering VARs, integrators and services-led partners who lead with the solution, not the SKU.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. Because a solution provider assembles outcomes from many vendors, it earns rebates across all of them - and the more complete the solution, the more programs are in play. The breadth that wins the deal also scatters the rebate. A single partner-side view across every vendor is what keeps that rebate income managed.
