What Is a Channel Partner?
A channel partner is a company that sells, delivers, integrates or services a vendor's technology rather than building it - including resellers, VARs, system integrators, MSPs, distributors and solution providers. In exchange for representing the vendor's products, channel partners earn margin, discounts and rebates through the vendor's partner program.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. "Channel partner" is the umbrella every Rebates-On user falls under. Whatever the specific model, a channel partner earns money from vendors through programs with targets, tiers and rebates - and that income is only as good as the partner's ability to track, claim and verify it across every vendor they represent.
