What Is Run Rate in Rebate Management?
Run rate is a partner's current pace of purchasing or sales projected across a full program period - for example, taking sales to date and extrapolating to period-end. It shows whether the partner is on track to hit a target at the current pace, and how much more is needed to close any gap before the deadline.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. Run rate turns "where am I now" into "where will I land," which is what makes a target actionable. A partner trailing run rate can see early that a threshold is at risk and act while there's time, rather than discovering the shortfall once the period has already closed.
