What Is a Growth Rebate?
A growth rebate is a rebate earned by increasing purchases or sales above a prior baseline - typically the same period last year or an agreed run rate. Instead of rewarding total volume, it pays on the incremental growth, often at a higher rate on the growth band to encourage partners to expand the business year over year.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. Growth rebates hinge on the baseline, and baselines move. A partner who doesn't track the moving target can finish just short of the growth threshold and forfeit the whole band. Knowing exactly how much more is needed, and by when, is the core of capturing growth rebates.
