What Is Overachievement in Rebate Programs?
Overachievement is performance beyond a rebate target - selling or purchasing more than the level required to earn the base rebate. Many programs reward overachievement with accelerators or higher rates on the excess, so the value of each sale past the target can be greater than the sales that got the partner there.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. Overachievement is where the richest rates often sit, but only if the partner knows an accelerator applies and keeps selling past the target. A partner who stops at the target, assuming the rebate is secured, can miss the most profitable band of the program entirely.

Only where the program includes an accelerator or bonus on the excess. Some programs cap out, so it's worth knowing which applies before pushing past target.
