What Is a Floor in Rebate Programs?
A floor is the minimum level of performance a partner must reach before any rebate is earned under a program - for example, a minimum purchase value below which the rebate is zero. Below the floor, no rebate accrues; at or above it, the program begins to pay according to its rate or tiers.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. A floor is an all-or-nothing line at the bottom of a program: fall short and the entire rebate is lost, not just a portion. Partners tracking where they sit against each floor can decide whether closing a small gap is worth it to unlock the whole program.
