What Is a Portfolio Rebate?

A portfolio rebate rewards a partner for selling across a breadth of a vendor's portfolio - multiple product lines, categories or solution areas - rather than concentrating in one. It encourages partners to represent the full range, often paying more as the number of categories sold or a balanced mix increases.

Why it matters to IT channel partners. Portfolio rebates reward exactly the cross-selling many partners already aim for, but the qualifying breadth rules can be easy to miss.
