What Is a Partner Incentive?
A partner incentive is any reward a vendor offers a channel partner to drive a desired outcome - sales volume, growth, new business, adoption, certification or loyalty. It is the broad category that includes rebates, bonuses, SPIFFs, MDF and rewards, all designed to influence partner behavior in the vendor's favor.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. Partner incentives are a significant, variable slice of profit, but they are fragmented across many programs, portals and rules. Without a single view, partners can't tell which incentives they're earning, which they're missing, or whether they were paid correctly - which is why active incentive management matters.
