Microsoft Commercial Incentives (MCI) is the framework of rebate and co-op programs Microsoft pays partners across CSP resale, Azure consumption and the solution areas. CSP incentives typically combine a core baseline with accelerators, paid as a split between automatic rebate and claim-based co-op funds that require proof of execution.
It matters because the co-op portion is forfeited if it is not claimed and evidenced, and Microsoft's rates reset each fiscal year - so paid does not always equal kept.
