What Is a Certification Gap?
A certification gap is the shortfall between the certifications a partner currently holds and the number or type its tier requires. If a program demands three certified engineers and a partner has two, that gap puts the tier - and the rebates, pricing and eligibility tied to it - at risk until the gap is closed.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. A certification gap is an early, quantifiable warning. Seen in time, it is a clear to-do: certify one more person before the review. Seen late, it has already cost a tier and the earnings that came with it. Surfacing gaps across every vendor before they trigger a demotion is exactly what protects a partner's payout. Rebates-On flags each gap while there is still time to close it.
