MDF & Co-op Funds

What Is an MDF Activity Plan?

An activity plan is the proposal a channel partner submits to get MDF or co-op pre-approved - describing the marketing activity, its timing, the audience, and the expected cost. The vendor reviews it against available funds and program rules, and approval of the plan is what unlocks eligible spending.

Why it matters to IT channel partners. The activity plan is the gateway to the money. A vague or incomplete plan delays approval, and any spending before the plan is approved is usually ineligible. A clear plan that maps to a real demand-generation activity moves through approval faster and sets up a clean claim later.

Typically the activity type, target audience, timing, expected cost and intended results - enough for the vendor to approve the spend before it happens.
