What Is Proof of Performance (POP)?
Proof of performance (POP) is the evidence a channel partner submits with an MDF or co-op claim to show a funded marketing activity actually ran as approved. It typically includes invoices, screenshots, ad placements, attendee lists, landing pages or performance metrics - whatever the vendor requires to verify the spend before reimbursing it.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. Proof of performance is the single most common reason a valid claim is rejected. The activity happened, the money was spent, but the documentation was incomplete, in the wrong format, or filed after the window. Collecting POP as the campaign runs - not scrambling afterward - is what gets funds paid.

It varies by vendor, but commonly invoices, screenshots, ad copy, registration or attendee lists, and campaign results that tie directly to the approved activity.
