What Is an MDF Claim?
An MDF claim is the formal submission a channel partner files to be reimbursed for a pre-approved marketing activity funded by market development funds. The claim documents what was done and attaches proof of performance - invoices, screenshots, attendee lists - so the vendor can verify the spend and release the money.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. The claim is where MDF is won or lost. Funds can be allocated, an activity pre-approved and a campaign run well, yet the money is forfeited if the claim is late, incomplete or missing required proof. Each vendor has its own claim window and format, which is exactly where partners stumble.
