What Is Vendor Architecture (Rebates)?

A vendor architecture is a vendor's own high-level grouping of its portfolio - for example networking, data center, security or collaboration. Vendors frequently structure rebate programs, targets and tiers around these architectures, so a partner's rebate often depends on performance within each architecture, not just total sales.

Why it matters to partners. Because targets are set per architecture, the same total revenue can earn very different rebate depending on how it splits across them. A partner strong in one architecture but short in another may miss a target that a small reallocation would have hit. Mapping products to the right architecture lets you see your standing in each and where to focus.

It is the vendor's own grouping. Rebate software maps your products to each architecture so program targets can be tracked the way the vendor measures them.
