What Are Program Rules (Rebates)?
Program rules are the conditions a vendor defines for earning a rebate: the targets and thresholds, tier structures, eligible products and segments, qualifying periods, certification requirements and payout formulas. Rebate management software encodes these rules and applies them to a partner's data to calculate what is owed.
Why it matters to partners. Every vendor's program is a different rulebook, and the rules change. Reading them correctly is the difference between an accurate rebate forecast and a guess. When program rules are encoded in software rather than carried in someone's head, calculations stay consistent, edge cases are handled the same way every time, and a rule change can be applied across all your data at once.

FAQ
In a managed system the rules are maintained centrally, so when a vendor changes a threshold or eligibility, every partner calculation updates from the same source.
