What Is Rebate Capture Rate?
Rebate capture rate is the share of the rebate a partner was eligible to earn that it actually collected, expressed as a percentage. It is calculated as rebate captured ÷ rebate eligible × 100. A partner eligible for $100,000 who collects $84,000 has an 84% capture rate - and a 16% leak.
Why it matters to partners. Capture rate is the single headline KPI for rebate performance. It exposes leakage in one number: the gap below 100% is money earned or nearly earned but never banked. Tracked over time, it shows whether your rebate management is improving and lets you put a dollar figure on the cost of doing nothing.

FAQ
There is no universal benchmark, but anything well below 100% signals recoverable money. Partners who actively manage programs steadily close the gap toward full capture.
