What Is a Partner Portal?

A partner portal is the vendor-run gateway where a channel partner accesses that vendor's resources - deal registration, sales and marketing content, training and certifications, MDF, and program or rebate data. Like a vendor portal, it is scoped to a single vendor and built to serve the vendor's relationship with the partner.

Why it matters to partners. Partner portals are useful for transacting with one vendor, but they are not a place to manage rebates across your business. Each shows its own slice in its own way, so the partner still has no consolidated view, no cross-vendor audit, and no early warning when a threshold or deadline approaches.

They overlap heavily; "partner portal" usually emphasizes enablement (content, training, deal reg) while "vendor portal" emphasizes program and rebate data. Both belong to one vendor.
