What Is Scenario Planning (Rebates)?
Scenario planning is the practice of comparing several possible purchasing or sales paths - different volumes, product mixes or timing - to see which one maximizes rebate across all vendors before committing. Where an order simulator tests a single order, scenario planning weighs multiple routes to the end of a period.
Why it matters to partners. Rebate decisions interact: buying more with one vendor to cross a threshold may compete with growth targets at another. Scenario planning makes those trade-offs visible, so a partner can choose the path that earns the most rebate overall rather than optimizing one program at the cost of another. It turns a complex, multi-program question into a clear comparison.
