What Is Partner Incentive Management?

Partner incentive management is the practice of tracking, maximizing and claiming the full range of incentives a channel partner earns from its vendors - rebates, SPIFFs, market development funds, co-op funds and bonuses. Read from the partner's perspective, it is about capturing every incentive owed, not administering programs the way a vendor does.

Why it matters to IT channel partners. Partners earn incentives in many forms across many vendors, each with its own rules and deadlines. Managing them as separate, manual tasks means SPIFFs go unclaimed, MDF expires and rebates fall short. Partner incentive management treats them as one managed revenue line.

CIM is the vendor running programs; partner incentive management is the partner capturing what those programs owe them across every vendor.
