What Is Missed-Rebate Detection?

Missed-rebate detection is the process of identifying rebates a partner earned or nearly earned but failed to capture - unfiled claims, lapsed thresholds, expired funds, or vendor underpayments - by comparing what the program rules say you were owed against what actually arrived. It exposes the leakage that spreadsheets hide.

Why it matters to partners. Missed rebate is invisible by nature: you don't see the money you didn't get. Detection makes it visible, flagging both money still recoverable (an unfiled claim, a disputed underpayment) and the patterns to fix going forward. For partners managing many programs by hand, this is often the first place real, recoverable money turns up.

Often yes - unfiled claims may still be within a window, and underpayments can be disputed. The first step is detecting them by reconciling earned against paid.
