What Is Bid Support?
Bid support is the help a vendor provides a partner on a competitive or high-value opportunity - special pricing, technical resources, configuration help and the approvals that strengthen the partner's proposal. It is how a vendor backs a partner it wants to win a specific deal, improving both the partner's chance of closing and the margin it can hold.
Why it matters to IT channel partners. Bid support and rebate eligibility often travel together: the same registered, supported deal that earns better pricing may also carry deal-specific incentives. A partner that ties bid support to the deal's expected rebate sees the full backing on the opportunity - and can prioritize the deals where the vendor is most willing to invest alongside it.

FAQ
Special pricing is the discount itself; bid support is the broader help around a deal - pricing, technical resources and approvals - that a vendor provides to back a partner on a competitive opportunity.
